Thank you for being a supporter of the South West Activities Council (SWAC) bringing you neighborhood based recreational activities to youth.

ATTENTION - Online registration for Spring Sports is CLOSED.

Late Registration begins April 1st (no joke):

  • Please look at the forms for information on divisions, ages, dates of play, etc.
  • During late registration you must register in person with a paper form at:
    Linden Hills Park, 43rd & Xerxes S (612-370-4913, for T-Ball, Pitching Machine Baseball and U8 Softball.
    Pershing Park, 48th & Beard S (612-370-4928, for Track, Baseball and Softball.
  • During late registration space is based on availability, placement is not guaranteed and special requests cannot be accepted.
If you are interested in coaching please contact Pershing or Linden Hills and staff will take down your information and contact you as soon as possible. It's a great opportunity to engage our kids! Thanks!

Teammate Request Policy

We try our best to honor one single teammate request, though requests are not guaranteed. Reciprocated requests will almost never be a problem. (i.e: Tommy Thompson requests Joey Johnson and Joey Johnson requests Tommy Thompson.)

Purpose of Youth Sports League Programs

To provide positive recreation experiences in the Youth Sports League Programs, which contribute to the individual's physical, social, emotional, cultural and educational growth and development. The Youth Sports League Programs will provide the opportunity for participation without regard to physical condition, sex, race, creed, economic or social status of the individual. The individual's dignity and self-worth shall be of utmost importance.

Note: No person shall be denied the right to participate if all Minneapolis Park Recreation Board registrations requirements have been met.

About Us

The Southwest Activities Council (SWAC) was formed as an all volunteer organization to organize and administer Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board youth sports programs for the children in the southwest neighborhoods of Minneapolis.
